BFF's already....

Chrystal and I have been taking the girls to a Mommy and Me class at a dance studio on Bonney Lake. It is just a half hour on Monday nights. The girls love it so far though they rarely listen to us or follow directions. Their main goals are to run from us, try to raid the instrument bag, make friends with the other girls by getting very up close and personal (they don't all like that!) and making a run to the other Mom's purses.

This last Monday, Roo and I were a couple minutes late so everyone was already in a circle doing a song activity. When we walked in, Bella got super excited and ran over to hug me when we sat down which melted my heart. Anyway, later on Bella went over and sat on a bench and Adrienne was close behind her. Another classmate came over and sat between Adrienne and Bella. Well, Bella was having none of that. She got an irritated look on her face and nudged the other girl until she got down. Chrystal and I were laughing although Chrystal was slightly horrified by Bella's protectiveness of Adrienne. So once this little girl left, Bella got the biggest smile on her face and patted Adrienne assuringly....appearantly nothing and no one comes between these two!! I have a feeling they are going to be a force to be reckoned with!!

Counting

Conversation from dinner tonight:

Kenny Jr said, "Why does Daddy have two cups?"

Mommy said, "Because he has milk and beer."

Kenny Jr said, "Oh. I am going to count all the cups here." (Counts outload while also counting on his fingers.) "ONE (one finger), TWO (two fingers), EIGHTEEN (three fingers), EIGHTEEN (four fingers), FIVE (five fingers)!!

Now add a look of pure satisfaction on a boy's face for getting it right!

Adrienne learned something new....

Adrienne has picked up a new phrase from her big brother......

Ocean Shores

We took off this weekend for Ocean Shores. The weather was fabulous! No wind, warm sun and the ocean water was actually tolerable for bare feet! Even Adrienne was wading around in the water. We spent the whole day on the beach. Bob, Shelle and Logan came down too. Uncle Bob let the boys fly his kite which Kenny Jr really liked.

We had a moment of panic when we first drove onto the beach because the Expedition wouldn't switch over to 4 wheel drive and we were spinning our tires. Thankfully, it decided to cooperate!!

My dear friend...

One last post for today....tomorrow marks the 2nd anniversary of Susanne Neil Scaringi's passing. I miss her dearly and I can honestly say I think about her everyday. I try to make her proud by living every day to the fullest and I try to remember never to take anything for granted...my children, my wonderful husband, my family and dear friends, my life. Because I know now, more than ever, these are all precious gifts that can be taken so suddenly.

Every year on September 27th, our plan as a family is to honor Susanne's memory by reminding ourselves to live, laugh and love each other to the fullest.

I miss you Susanne and you are never really gone when so many still love you.

Doodlebops!

Last Sunday, Adrienne and I went to the Doodlebop concert at the Puyallup Fair. We went with our BFF's, Chrystal and Bella. The girls had a great time! We were close enough so they could see the characters. Adrienne even danced along. Then both the girls were on the big screen...it was quite exciting! Angie and Grace were there but seperate from us and Grace was very excited to spot her baby cousin on the big screen.

Dog Bite

Last Tuesday, Kenny Jr was playing with our neighbors' kids in their backyard. Unfortunately, their dog ended up biting Kenny in the thigh. It was just a couple of scratches and, after a trip to the doctor, he decided he would live. The worst part is that was the first time Kenny Jr had played with the neighbor kids! He is usually so shy. He was having fun too....quite a bummer! I felt awful for our neighbors too. They were really upset.
